The East End Community Development Alliance (the Alliance) is a charitable company providing support, advice and information to the voluntary and community sector in the East End of Newcastle.

It aims to develop the capacity and skills of the members of the socially and economically disadvantaged community of East Newcastle upon Tyne in such a way that they are better able to identify, and help meet, their needs and to participate more fully in society.

The charity's mission statement is 'to improve the community's role in developing local solutions to local problems'.

We support and resource members of the network to ensure that they can make an informed and effective contribution to local governance. We provide a point of contact with local residents, community and voluntary sector groups and so make happen effective community consultation and joint-working.
