Helen Grayshan
Chief Executive
Helen joined the Alliance in 2008 as Strategic Development Manager, after completing a Research Masters degree. Her role is to manage the sustainable strategic development of the Alliance and to prepare the organisation for the next stage of its development, including fundraising, business planning and partnership working.
LATEST NEWS: Helen was appointed to the post of Chief Executive for the Alliance at the beginning of June.
Linda Williams
Senior Linkworker Network Development & Support
Through community development assist the Interim Strategic Development Manager to maintain and strengthen the involvement of local community and voluntary sector organisations in the East End of Newcastle. Examples; to offer support in fundraising, group development work.
As part of her career and personal development Linda has completed an NVQ2 in community development, STEPS, Training the Trainer and is has completed a Foundation Degree in Working in the Voluntary and Community Sector.
Carol Hunter
Senior Linkworker Regeneration
Carol works with the community and voluntary sector keeping them involved with the regeneration process in Walker Riverside and Byker/Ouseburn.
As part of her career and personal development Carol has completed an NVQ2 in community development, University Certificate in Regeneration & BUA Planning for non planners. Carol is a committee member with Benwell young peoples development group who run Patchwork detached youth project.
Tania McAllister
Senior Linkworker Training
Tania's main responsibility is to plan and deliver training in group settings to individuals, voluntary and community sector workers and volunteers. She also works with individuals and communities to improve local services and support the developemnt of community and voluntary sector activitity.
As part of her career and personal development Tania has completed STEPS training, Training the Trainer and most recently the City & Guilds 7303 Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector. She is currently studying for a Foundation Degree in Voluntary and Community Sector Management.
Sue Crawley
Community Linkworker
Sue's first steps within the voluntary sector began in 1997 as a volunteer at Byker Sands Family Centre, and 2001 with the East Area Asylum Seeker Support Group in Walker.
As a Community Linkworker, first for HealthWORKS East and then the Alliance, Sue is able to offer practical support and assistance to local voluntary and community sector organisations, for example, planning events and activities, developing a constitution and fundraising.
As part of her career and personal development Sue has successfully completed an NVQ2 in community development, STEPS, Training the Trainer and Asylum Awareness training.
In partnership with other voluntary and statutory agencies Sue now delivers asylum awareness training to local voluntary and community sector organisations.
Robert Tshisekedi
Cohesion Linkworker
The latest member of the team. Roberts background is in I.T. but is passionate about his community. Part of his role is to Co-ordinate and/or deliver Asylum Awareness Training and encourage cohesion between all local people and encourage sharing of cultures within the community of the East End of Newcastle
